Mascot Pecan Expands Georgia Facility to Meet Growing Demand

Mascot Pecan is expanding its manufacturing operations in Glennville, Georgia, as demand continues to grow for flavored nuts and premium snack products.
The third-generation family-owned company recently announced the addition of 4,000 square feet of cooking space at its headquarters, bringing the total facility footprint to 143,000 square feet. The expansion is designed specifically to increase Mascot’s sugar-panning capacity and support rising production needs across its flavored nut and confection portfolio.
According to the company, the upgraded facility will add approximately 5,000 pounds of production capacity per shift, helping Mascot fulfill growing demand from national retailers, private-label customers and industrial ingredient buyers.
The increased capacity will support several of the company’s top-selling products, including praline pecans, cinnamon glazed pecans, coconut cashews, butter toffee peanuts and pecan caramel clusters.
“Mascot started as a small roadside stop back in 1955, and we’ve grown for over 70 years by listening to what our customers want,” said Kenny Tarver, Mascot Pecan’s president and CEO. “Right now, that demand is centered on bold flavors and premium quality.”
The company noted that its vertically integrated structure continues to be a major advantage. Mascot handles everything from shelling raw pecans to cooking and packaging finished products under one roof, allowing the company to maintain tighter quality control and operational efficiency.
“Expanding our footprint isn’t just about meeting demand today; it’s about building something that lasts,” said Jake Tarver, COO of the company.
Founded in 1955, Mascot Pecan distributes products nationwide through grocery retailers, convenience stores, vending programs and specialty outlets.
